I'd say it is for a person who really loves anime and enjoys japan and its history. I barely know a thing about japan's history but I absolutely love it. It is a great story. And no matter what I watch I learn something new every time I find a new show, no matter what it is about. Because I pay attention to all the little details. Now no story seams to thrill me anymore because story's are so predictable. Well this is a good show so everyone should watch it. It doesn't have the best picture quality but it has a story line that cancels that out.
